Samuel Alarcón (Madrid,1980), licenciado en Comunicación Audiovisual en 2003, produce y realiza su primer largometraje documental en Roma, 3000 años de trabajo (2004). En el 2005 produce y realiza su primera incursión en la ficción con Octavio. En 2006 comienza junto a su amigo y cineasta Javier Cardenete el proyecto Cartas, una experiencia de correspondencia audiovisual que en su primera temporada recibe el premio al mejor largometraje de la organización y una mención especial del jurado en el festival del Ateneo de la Laguna en Tenerife (2008). En el 2010 fue productor ejecutivo del cortometraje Los mundos lisérgicos de Javier Cardenete, protagonizado por el coreógrafo y bailarín Chevi Muraday. Ha realizado incursiones en la videocreación con obras como Pal, Altoviti' 07, El pulcino o Medium Brown Bag. También ha trabajado en el diseño de sonido de series de televisión, videoinstalaciones y cortometrajes. La Real Academia de España en Roma le beca para producir su segundo largometraje documental La ciudad de los signos (premio del público en Documenta Madrid 09 y mención especial del jurado en Alcánces Cádiz 09 y Cortomieres 10).
Samuel Alarcón (Madrid,1980) received his degree in Audiovisual Communication in 2003. He produced and completed his first feature length documentary in Rome, '3000 Years of Labor' (2004). In 2005 he produced and completed his first exploration in fiction, 'Octavio', which was submitted to several exhibitions and competitions. In 2006 he began a project called 'Cartas' (Letters) alongside his friend and fellow filmmaker Javier Cardenete, which illustrates an audiovisual correspondence between individuals that received the prize for best feature-length film and honorable mention in the film festival of Ateneo de la Laguna in Tenerife (2008). In the 2010 was executive producer of the short film 'The Lysergic Worlds' of Javier Cardenete, starred by the choreographer and dancer Chevi Muraday. He delved into the world of video-art with works such as 'Pal', 'Altoviti’07', 'Il Pulcino' and 'Medium Brown Bag'. He has also worked in sound production and design for several television series, video installations, and short films. He won the “Rome Prize” at the Real Academy of Spain in Rome which let him produce his second feature-length documentary film 'The city of the signs' (award of the public in Documenta Madrid 09 and special mention of the jury in Alcánces Cadiz 09 and Cortomieres 10).
