Selección de las videocreaciones que participaron en la primera edición de FocFest (Festival Internacional de Vídeo y Cine por la Paz y la Libertad de Elección), un nuevo evento no competitivo basado en una visión más amplia de los principios humanistas, comprometido con la idea de mostrar una perspectiva multifocal sobre temas como la libertad de elección, la paz y los derechos humanos. El festival, que se desarrolló de forma simultánea en tres países, Portugal (Lisboa), Armenia (Ereván) y Turquía (Estambul), bajo la curadoría de Alberto Guerreiro & Milton Dias (Portugal), David Kareya (Arménia) y Sahin Ozbay (Turquía), tiene como objetivo convertirse en un corto plazo de tiempo en un festival de referencia, tanto por su temática especializada como por su apuesta a favor de un renovado contenido audiovisual.
A selection of the video creations that participated on the first edition of FocFest (The Freedom of Choice International Film and Video Peace Festival), a brand new and non-competitive event based on a broader view of the humanistic principles committed to show multisided perspectives of the issues of freedom of choice, peace and human rights.The festival, that took place simultaneously in three countries, Portugal (Lisbon), Armenia (Yerevan) and Turkey (Istanbul), under the curatorship of Alberto Guerreir & Milton Dias (Portugal), David Kareya (Arménia) and Sahin Ozbay (Turkey), aims to be, in a short term, a new audiovisual and thematic expertise festival benchmark of film and video art.

Banda sonora / Soundtrack: MOBY Sinopsis: Un video experimental que muestra a un policía en diferentes estados de humor mientras le recita a alguien un texto absurdo. Durante la secuencia su humor va cambiando, de ser muy tranquilo e indiferente a estar enfadado y nervioso. Esta pieza es una metáfora de la teoría del poder de Foucault en las sociedades modernas, que tienen la característica de no permanecer quietas y estar siempre en movimento. Synopsis: An experimental video that shows a policeman in different moods while talking a nonsense text with someone. During the sequence he changes his mood, from very calm and indifferent to angry and nervous. This piece is a metaphor of Foucault’s power theory in modern societies, which has the characteristic of not being fixed but is always moving. |
